The Rainbow Connection

This is the "long awaited" rainbow video that I have been editing. Ha ha ha . Took me 2 days to finish this 3mins plus clips. Real tiring but very satisfied. Bought back so much memories.......I miss those travel companions man.......Oh I have used [The Rainbow Connection] rather than [ Over the Rainbow ]. I felt it flow better. It was sang by Hermit, the frog from the [The Muppet Show]

Merry x'mas!!!

Had our christmas garthering at Seah street deli last sunday. It was our annual X'mas gift exchange program. I love opening up present, especially lots of them. lol .

I saw a rainbow this morning. I love rainbow. So beautiful and so rare to see one. Of coz, nothing beat the one that I saw in Shangri La. I have this perception that if I see a rainbow, good luck will come my way. Don't know why. Must be something I read when I am young.

前天买了双new balance慢跑鞋. 帅帅的售货员Darryl还教了我一些买鞋的知识, 当我告诉他,
" I m just starting out(running)" =) hee hee hee .要真的好好的开始练习跑步了.
My boss offered to paced with me during the run when I told her I cant even run non-stop for 1 k. I was really touched. Muz not let her down. At the very least, muz completed my 5 k, Walking and jogging.

Working on a series of lineart icon recently........... More Animals and Landscapes. Lineart seen easy yet they are the hardest. Basically is the study of the full stucture then stylize it into simple lines.... Not easy at all. I still got so much to practice and learning to do.

Phantom of the Opera

Phantom of the Opera is coming back to Singapore next year. Finally, I have waited for 12 years. yep.....

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s "The Phantom of the Opera" is making a return to Singapore, after its hugely successful debut here 12 years ago. Broadway’s longest-running musical which next week celebrates its 20th anniversary will play at the Esplanade from 23rd March 2007. The Singapore season which is part of an Asian tour will see American Brad Little playing the Phantom, a role he has played some 2,000 times. Describing himself as the luckiest man in the world to be doing something that he loves, Little says "It’s going to be very exciting – everyone has said how wonderful the audiences are here... which always fascinates me. Every country seems to have their own personality as far as their audiences are (concerned)... Those that have performed here say ‘you’re going to love Singapore’". The Singapore season of "The Phantom of the Opera" will be Directed by Harold Prince who has directed and/or produced more than 50 musicals, plays and operas including, the premiere productions of "Evita", "the Cabaret", "A Little Light Music" and "Sweeney Todd", just to name a few. According to Tim Mc Farlane, Managing Director of the The Really Useful Company which is co-producing the show in Singapore, the production will involve more than 130 cast, crew and orchestra from the USA, UK, Australia and even Korea. 22 containers of what will make up a spectacular set at the Esplanade will be shipped from Australia and other countries to Singapore, including 230 amazing costumes. The producers believe the show in Singapore will be better than those in New York or London, having been continually worked on, improved and perfected. David Atkins of David Atkins Enterprises says, "The Phantom of the Opera is arguably one of the most successful musicals of all time and DAE is proud to be associated with what we are sure will be its best season ever in Singapore." 遇见

有一天, 在Kinokuniya闲逛的时候,偶然拿起了林一峰的书.读了几页后,发现自己还挺喜欢他的文笔的.说不上来为什么. 本来已经不能再买书了,可是还是不能自控.

有时候, 找到喜欢的作者和找到喜欢的人是一样的.这都是要看缘分. 不是常常能找到一本能看对眼的书. =)
所以呀!我买书的宗旨是; - 宁可杀错, 也不可放过...

28.09.2006 Thursday 看了实践剧场的[雷雨] . 好象是我今年的第一场舞台剧, 最后一次是[快乐王子] 吧!

会去看[雷雨] 的原因----
1. 被宣传明信片吸引(above postcard)
2. 演员
3. 没看过[雷雨]

九月在图书馆拿起那张postcard,就很喜欢它的设计概念.颜色很沉.......女人一脸忧伤,望出窗外很困惑,被囚禁的感觉背面---一片黑,用红色写了[雷雨].因为被宣传明信片吸引,所以一定要去看看.That’s the power of a good design.They attract people.

观后感：男人啊，男人。。。千万不要把绝望的女人推到谷底她的怒火将会是一种非常可怕的动力。觉得杨雁雁把这角色演得入目三分。赞！

真巧让我在网上找到设计场刊的人原来是在中国设计的.....他的website很精彩,他朋友的也都一样.好象都是搞艺术的. I think I can simply spend my whole weekend juz to surf those site...They are really good.最近对中国很有好感,觉得那里的年轻人都好有冲劲很有自己的想发.......

当然,我没去过台湾, 可能我也会一样的喜欢..不过除了台北我还真想到台湾的郊区看看去爬一爬阿里山............我没大自然可能活不下去处~~~哈太好了!A*mei 后天回来,带回来我的新书!!!!!!!!!!!

不过..... 我还是喜欢, 朋友也喜欢
有点象在看舞台剧.

它其实是部关于"爱"的故事.

-太子对本来是爱人的皇后,想爱可是不能爱的爱
-青女对太子,单纯可是又单相思的爱
-婉儿皇后对太子的爱. 她爱,
可是不比她爱权力来得多

etc etc.................
最后,大家都得不到彼此........悲哀

想想的确很Shakespeare's Hamlet.

我是个visual / senses animal
会被漂亮的东西吸引.......
喜欢[夜宴] 的颜色, 很美
服装,美术设计 很赞
OST 也挺好的.
演员都演得不错......
喜欢周迅.......还有那个殷將军
一副英明神武的样子.........好看=)

Happy Day

Today, I am truely over the rainbow.......
I finally saw my very first children illustration books ( 2 of the 4 series). I am really really happy. Those 3 weeks of hard works really paid off. =) It is kind of odd seeing my drawing being bond into proper book. I wish there are many more these kind project.

Giving my sis a long overdue birthday celebration. Initially, we wanted to eat at one fullertone but it was closed. Some staffs were cleaning and packing stuff. Hopefully, they are not going to close down that outlet. It is such a nice location but I doubht a lot of people visit that area. =(

Anyway, we went over to Raffles city outlet. We Ordered pasta , coffee and 2 very delicious cake. I love that [Vanilla ...........] although the Japanese short cake is juz as good.

什么状况

有时我在想啊。明明是回复了的msn，为什么又偏偏在那一秒---断线。一次，两次，三次之后......我也只能说遗憾。注定的吗？。。搞不清楚到底是什么状况。。。。嗨。。什么状况，什么状况。什么状况！！！？？？

星期四在Fish & Co 聊起丽江和香格里拉. 记忆一下子被带回到那个五月。本来我以为是因为扎西所以才特别喜欢香格里拉的. 不过看到丽芝也恋恋不忘的样子，我才安心．扎西其实让我想起Michael. 象个大哥一样, 照顾人可是又会做一些无聊的事逗人笑.我想只有jolene了解我的意思了.哈哈～我还会见到他吗? ........我想是不会了, 活了28年这点早早看清楚了. Peoples come and go in my life.

五月，那时候心情不是很好，一心只想出去走走．哪里都好，只要不想事情．我不抱任何期望．没想到不抱期望，反倒是玩得最开心．是大自然的魅力吧！山野里的花,满山的杜绢, 一望无尽的大草园. 知道吗? 原来站在高山上, 远处被云层遮住的山脉真的是带点蓝色的. 好漂亮. 在梅里雪山看日出时，想到了一个人．他应该会想看吧．

我还有好多废话想写, 不过现在好累. 故意写华文应该没多少人想看吧．哈哈～最近在瘋［我爱金三顺］她让我想起些事情又好象和我不相干的事．．．每次看到和蛋糕有关系的故事，我就好想吃蛋糕．yum yum．．．．这个星期一定忙死.不知道画得完吗？我真的没信心．完了啦．

Heard WenHong live"telecast" from Tibet. His description of this tour, reminded me so much of my own in Shangri- La and DeQing......(which is not very far from Tibet) I missed the green field, mountains, mountain top covered with snow and that blue blue sky.

在4000米[飞来客栈]
扎西请喝大理啤酒。
but the rules are :
- 要玩罚酒
-抽牌的，有权令一个人喝几碗酒
- 用碗喝酒


一个超精彩的晚上。
我没试过用碗喝酒 。很好玩。
从来没想过，我有机会玩“行酒令”。
小时侯，在巴金的书里读过。
张彦罚最多酒。。。。5-10碗以上。
所以说，害人终害己吗。。。。。
不过，他酒量好，喝不醉。。。。
（anyway, so we juz cheer him on. In the Tibetean language we have learnt from Tashi. 哈）

在高原喝酒不容易， 一下就胀到不行了。
帮丽芝顶下一碗酒后，我就后悔了。
我没吃饭，万一喝醉不是很难看。。。。。。。
我总共喝了［1+1/2+1口+1/2口＝２ 碗酒　］

Yunnan Yunnan

In 7 days time, I will be flying to Yunnan /kunming.
I am bloody excited right now. Met up with my travel pal on Wednesday nite.....to iron out all the last detail. So gald that we are thinking along the same path. ha ha

I have only started my research last week since I have been preoccured by other things for the past 1 month.

Oh! we are going to drop Yu Rong snow mountain for Mei Li snow mountain. Heard that it is much more awesome than Yu Rong.

Of coz we wont be doing the trekking juz very causel day trip. Didnt want to worn ourselves out, since this trip is so short.

Anyway, everything seen to be flowing smoothly along the course. Now I juz need to concentrate on taking good care of myself and not to do anything stupid....... Like getting myself hurt ..... .... (Juz sprained my right hand in an bicycle accident last week. =p

Taiwanese 偶像剧from her friend.
She seen to really enjoyed the drama.
The most recent one is [恶作剧之吻 ]

Out of curiosity,
I decided to see what is so great about this one. ............... Well, that was 2 weeks back and I have of coz finished all the disc..........
Now......I am totally hooked. ha ha ha

Its a really entertaining drama.
Very funny . Very touching .
Very handsome / charismatic actors and actress
All the right element to make a good drama.

If I am not mistaken, it was shown on every sunday night in Taiwan. I can only imagine how fun it would be like to stay glue to the Tv every sunday追偶像剧. Week after week for each development.......... the waiting ........
Guessing what would happen to each character........ the suspense........=)

Not like us......we can finished the whole drama within 5 days if we got nothing to do....

Anyway, likely to get the set too.
It worth keeping.

I was at Gary Cao Promo gig at K-box. Accompany my sis to the promo gig but of coz I am very curious about him too la. My sis is crazy about him ..........ha ha ha Her cup of tea.

He was really sick that day. But he didnt really let it affect his performace though. Quite a good gig, eventhough it was a really really short one. I would love to see him sing again when he is better.

A good voice, good composer and most of all, lotsa charisma. ha ha I caught his interview on friday with Yuling. It was a good interview....can hear that the DJ really enjoyed herself.........ha ha

There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His Father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence.

The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper.

The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence He said, "You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry, the wound is still there. It was as if an artist decided to lash some colour onto the sky with his platelet of colour........ A little bit of pink here.........and maybe a dah of midnight blue there......Breathtaking

when I am out too late , I dont really wish to go home. I like to stroll on the empty street in the city. Feel the slient in the air and how relax it could be.

Aim we cute? This was done few year back for shawn farewell party. I did another separate drawing of him and printed it onto a nice cushion. I wonder how is it now.

Mr shawn who went to London. Saw him last year at Toa payoh. I was getting into the train and he was getting out. Come to think of it, I met quite a few friends this way in that TPY mrt station. ha ha
