Movie under a Banyan Tree

My friends and I attended the National Museum Open Air Cinema yesterday night. It was an interesting experience watching An American In Paris under the stars. ( actually there was no stars , but a lot of rain clouds hovering around ) Quite Romantic.....haha ...... Am loving it.

Looking forward to Little Shop Of Horrors and Beetlejuice in September.

Chris mentioned in his blog about one other event at Fort Canning on 12 September 2009 [ Blockbuster Movie Night @ Fort Canning ]. They are showing the Iron Man and Transformer : Revenge of the fallen. 看来要招兵买马一起去了。


He was loading the first projector with film and we were sitting right below it. Think they loaded 4-5 roll of films for a 2 hrs show.

Many of us were picnicking away. We bought grill chicken and salads . Should have brought some wine to complete the picnic. ha ha ......I dont mind some kacang putih too. =P

The famous 17 minute-long dance sequence start about here......and about 5 mins later We became quite restless.......


......started to take upside down pictures....


....My friend and I were lying flat down, admiring the passing clouds and debating the colour of them......... haha ...........It was fun to just relax and stared at a cloudy night sky.

See..... I even managed to capture a lone star.........

- The Chef's Tomato spaghetti ( 大家都超期待的！！ )

我们的potluck是今天的配角。有~
- All the way from JB~ The Otah Buns
- Old Chiang kee fingers foods
- Ubi Roast ducks & porks
- Caesar salad


这锅的tomato sauce, 用了
- 3kg的番茄 （splashed and not blend )
- 新鲜scallops
- 蘑菇s
- Herbs

熬了两天来入味.

最后在上菜前，加入crab sticks.
好吃到不行。

小孩们的游戏时间。我不是孩子王，因为我自己是另一个大孩子。哈~~~


朋友的三个小可爱。很难拍。她们根本坐不定。


这是我的小小助理摄影师拍的。她才五岁。刚刚才教她怎么用我的powershot，就拍了这张来吓我。现在的小孩学得真快。哈 你看，还有depth of field 的咯。

借相机给她“玩”，借得我心惊胆跳的。哈哈~~~不过小孩嘛，就要从小给于艺术熏陶。哈

Homemade Truffles

Was trying out this Chocolate Truffles recipe from 8 Days. Gosh, it was a mess and looking really ugly. But I have fun. =P It was made out of 80% dark chocolate, so it was really bitter. I bet it will goes well with black coffee. Will pop one tomorrow morning with my black coffee.

Do you know that eating chocolate will make you happy? It is supposed to release the same chemicals that are released when you are in love. The darker, the better. hahaha I must be the happiest person right now.

Afternoon!

I have heard so much great reviews of [ UP ] that I am "dying" to watch it. Too bad, I still need to wait for my movie buddy to free up the time. ( which is next week ). Someone I know cried through the film and almost everyone I spoke to, cried at some point. hm......Very very curious........ I must rememder to bring tissue paper and not to put on too much make up. 不然变成大花脸，吓到人就不好啦。 =D

Wishy Washy

Thanks to a few individuals , today I finally fully understood the meaning of "Wishy Washy attitude" . J always complained about them. I cant be bothered with them anymore. ....Stay cool........man. But yet, its still get to u sometimes. What so hard to make a decision ?

Finishing venting frustration . Back to work. What's a way to ruin a beautiful day.

翻书会 - 一个人的幸福旅程

托了到台湾公干的朋友买了这三本书。昨天刚收到。朋友还拿了*诚品的纸带给我。我猜想她是把它当成了礼物送给我的。哈哈 *（ 在台湾，拿纸带是要另外收费的 ）

这是我前阵子在大众看到，可是又不舍得买的书。

哈~~ 我对书名有共鸣。还有，它的文案很有意思。

3。 [ My Lohas 生活志]
前年从台湾的便利店带回了这本生活志，便不能自拔的爱上它。这是一本教你怎么乐活过日子的杂志。在新加坡还不流行乐活这个名词的时候，台湾已经非常提倡了。去年底，kinokuniya 终于把它带进来。不过数量不多, 要买记得预定。

遥远的璀璨

每年都拿不到NDP 门票的我们一家，一定会呆在家里看庆典。每年都在庆典接近尾声的时候，望出窗外。往庆典的方向望去。只为了那一刹那，遥远的璀璨。

新加坡还真小。

这是前阵子公司忙的不可开交的原因。为动物园的新主题乐园设计的一系列intrepretives和wayfinding signs. 如果家里有小孩的话，带他们来看看吧！他们一定会很喜欢的。

荷西

这位大胡子叫荷西，是已故作家三毛的丈夫。我想~~读过三毛散文的人，对荷西绝对不会陌生。对于他们的爱情故事更是难以忘怀吧。三毛写了篇缅怀过世丈夫的文章 [ 一个男孩子的爱情 ] ，当时看了久久不能释怀。感叹老天的无情~~~~

最近在三毛的Facebook fan group里，读了篇很有趣的文章。笔者因为工作的关系去了西班牙，顺道过去LA PALMA 拉芭马岛。那是三毛和荷西住过的地方，三毛许多散文的故事背景都在拉芭马岛上。还有，荷西的墓地也在那里。于是，笔者在那里开始了一段寻找荷西墓地的故事。

看了文章，心是痛的。笔者最后的结尾写得真好。
