Happy New Year =)

A few of my friends decided to have a new year gift exchange and we were supposed to draw lot and D.I.Y a brooch for the person we have selected. The zipper rose was for the one I have selected and the fish was a little appreciation gift for the organizer. =)

I like the idea of hand making a brooch. It a lot creative than just simply gift exchange. I have fun doing this exercise.

Handmade with Love

My sister and her friends have launched a blogshop selling their hand made cards. I decided to join in and kpo kpo a little. Top 2 pieces were my contribution. = ) Ha ha..... Nothing very fanciful. Hers were more intricate and pretty.

一个人的夕阳

在普吉岛的第一天
一个人站在海边看日落

等了尽半小时
海水开始涨潮
开始要盖过我的膝盖

感觉很奇妙
四周很静
心情也很宁静

这次出走，带着林一峰的{ 游子意外} 同行。

他的一个篇章写到

“...我永远放不下那个出走的冲动：要经历一切在旅途上的可能性。有时顺利，有时困难；有时豪华，也有简朴的... ...尽管差不多所有的地方已被探索过；过程不可预知，结果亦通常不会与预期一样。这种追寻需要你带着点点冒险精神，有点像......恋爱。”

而他每次出走最大的收获是，在这旅途上遇到的人。 那是旅程上有什么颜色的重要关键

这点，我是完全认同的。发现每次的旅行，给我留下最深刻印象的不是风景而是那些无数的过客。机缘巧合的在一个陌生的国度檫肩。人生里短暂的聚点。

而这次的旅行，给我留下最深刻印象的是我在120000米的半空中，飞机上的“邻居”。一位在新加坡住了十年的英国律师。我们因为飞机餐的选择而开始聊起。他还很幽默的炫了一句singlish。哈～喜欢他的英式幽默。

想起三月到曼谷时，认识了一位说得一口流利华语的韩国人。同样的我们两就在车上东南西北的聊了接近一个半钟头。(从曼谷郊外回市区要接近两个多小时的距离) 同车的人都很安静，我们最吵。

我常常是在旅行的时候才会和陌生人聊得很起劲。在想那是不是因为心情很放松的关系。哈

说回我的“邻居”，在飞机的旅程结束时他很有绅士风度的帮我们把包包从隔间里拿了下来。不用说，我给他的印象分打的特别高 ＝）(特别记得他爽朗的笑声。 还有他说要到英国去，记得要在夏天。因为天气最暖和)


I like " old world" charm. Interesting, I mostly find it in foreigners and only occasionally locals ( which I m most impressed coz it is so rare..... =P )
