Sharp

它其实让我想起了 [ Green Mile ] another great film, good script and great acting。

那还需要 a life for a life 吗?

Bring your own bag - Edward Norton

Bring your own bag. Stop using plastic bag.

When I was in Lijiang, I was really surprised that they do not use plastic bag. They charged you for every paper bag that you used. So when I got back to Singapore, I have collected more than 4-5 paper bags of every sizes , coz I kept on forgetting to bring my own shopping bags. hahaha~~

That was way before our "Bring your own bag Wednesday". In 2006. We really should not be complaining about the 10 cents that are charged.

And speaking of playing a part in saving the environment, no one beat Taiwan and Japan. When I was in Taiwan, my Taiwanese friend picked up the pet bottles that we have just threw away , washed it and put it into a separate trash bag so that the collector can recycle them later. We were so embarrassed. =P

Seriously, it is really time for us to be more aware of our environment. Ha, and me included. I wont lie, sometimes I forget to bring my own bag for grocery shopping too. =P Nowadays, I keep a small foldable bag in my bag so that I can use it any time.

Its an conscious effort. =)

Think family

" So to my beautiful children , I hope one day......you too find yourself life partners, who are as beautifully imperfect, as your father was to me."

Saw the new public awareness campaign of National Family Council on channel five. I was really impressed by the 3 mins long tv campaign. Someone have put time and soul into creating this ad. Well worth a round of applause.

Especially love the part where the wife joked about the deceased snoring. Toward the end of the decease life, the snoring became an indicator that he was still alive. How familiar was that. I remembered a time when I was one of the caretaker to my granny. Towards the last few day, it was the same. Every little breath she took, was an indicator.

I love the " lightheartedness" the director has set for the advert. Its not about the mourning for the decease. It is about the celebration of one life. No crying, all smile. =)

Beautifully imperfect........
How well said, cause we are all imperfect in one way or another but there will be someone out there that will appreciate and fully embraced that imperfectness. Its beautiful.

Vote for Hope

This is the coolest music video I have ever seen done for a presidential campaign. Its actually makes me want to vote too. =) Great pieces of propaganda.

I don't know much about the America politic but for whatever news clips I have heard and see, Barack Obama is my choice too. However, can he deliver what he preached, only time would tell ( and of coz if Americans vote for him )

Here's some information that goes with this video :
With the 2008 presidential election, Americans face a pivotal choice between not just two candidates, but two paradigms. We need someone who understands the complexity of our time. Someone who believes in investing in renewable energy, in education, in women's rights, in civil rights, in healthcare for Americans. Someone who believes in dealing with global issues with diplomacy so we can restore our respect in the world. Barack Obama represents the change we need and can lead us into a brighter future.

Vote For Hope was written to encourage and inspire the hip hop generation—and everyone—to get involved, and contribute their time, energy, creativity, and other resources to be the change they want to see in the world. We have been inspired by the artistic and musical contributions that have been pouring out accross the nation in support of Barack Obama's campaign. Vote for Hope is our offering to this creative movement. It is our way of adding our small voice to the collective voice of millions of Americans calling for a change.

"Vote for Hope" was written by M.C. Yogi and produced by Robin Livingston. The "Vote for Hope" video was created at Ursa Minor Arts and Media in San Rafael, CA with chief animator James Curtis, using designs and direction from M.C. Yogi. Video funded and supported by grassroots donations.
